Mexico City is the country’s capital and principal political, academic, cultural, tourism, financial, and business center.

It has an area of 1,485km² and a population of more than 20 million people along with the metropolitan area, which makes it the largest conurbation in America and the world.

The average temperature during the year is 18°C. Late summer (early fall) is usually a mild, humid and sometimes a bit rainy season. Temperatures can reach up to 24°C in the sun and rarely go lower than 12°C during the day. Keep in mind that the temperature may drop a bit in the evenings, so a light jacket is ideal.

Spanish is the official language, and the currency exchange between the Canadian dollar and the Mexican peso is approximately 1 CAD = 12.00 pesos.
